De-stress. Move. Meditate on the Word. Reflect.

You can work you heiny off in the gym, eat the cleanest food and restrict yourself until the cows come home…

But if you are constantly feeling stress – even low levels – your digestion is going to be dramatically diminished. Oh, and that stress also causes things like: insomnia, headaches, weakened immune system, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, increased depression, heartburn, stomach aches, the list goes on…

That’s where this class comes in. Take an hour out of your busy life to rest. To breath. To gently move your body. To listen to the Word (if you aren’t a Bible person, I’m sure you’ll still enjoy this class). To reflect on who you are and what your purpose is in life. To journal. To just be present.

Use this time to turn off your flight/fight/freeze (sympathetic) response and switch on your rest/digest (parasympathetic) response. Give yourself a break from the cortisol production and RELAX.

I could go on and on about the importance of consistently switching your parasympathetic nervous system on but I’ll stop boring you.
